CSR (Core-Shell Rubber) Epoxy Toughening Resin:

 

There are various techniques for epoxy toughening, such as rubber elastomer toughened epoxy resins, thermoplastic toughened epoxy resins, and elastomeric segment toughened epoxy resins. In recent years, CSR core-shell toughened epoxy resin has gained significant attention.

 

Traditional rubber elastomers effectively enhance the toughness of epoxy resin matrices. However, the formation of rubber phases during phase separation is influenced by both the kinetics of rubber particle formation and the curing kinetics of epoxy resin matrices. As a result, precise quantitative analysis of rubber particle morphology, including the amount, size, and crosslinking degree, cannot be achieved.

 

Moreover, incomplete phase separation during curing can lead to decreased heat resistance and mechanical properties of the cured material.

 

CSR core-shell polymer (CSR) toughened epoxy resin can address these drawbacks. Its toughness can match or exceed the toughening effect of liquid rubber, while maintaining the original glass transition temperature (Tg) and other mechanical properties. Therefore, the application of core-shell polymers has provided a relatively ideal method for toughening epoxy resins.

 

CSR core-shell rubber toughened epoxy resin is an organic combination of nano core-shell rubber particles and epoxy resin. The nano core-shell rubber particles are uniformly dispersed in the epoxy resin, effectively enhancing shear and tear strength after curing while preserving the original Tg and heat resistance. The minimal impurity content also ensures excellent electrical properties of the system.
