Hi-pearl synthetic thermoplastic acrylic resin
Hi-Pearl: Thermoplastic Acrylic Resin
Hi-Pearl is a primarily synthesized thermoplastic acrylic resin produced via suspension polymerization. It offers excellent weather resistance and transparency, and is soluble in a variety of solvents and monomers. Hi-Pearl is a hard (high Tg) resin available in bead form. Copolymerization with monomers such as styrene, vinyl acetate, and functional groups like carboxyl, hydroxyl, and epoxy is also possible. Molecular weight (Mw: 30,000–1,000,000), particle size (0.01–0.2 mm), and glass transition temperature (Tg: 20–100°C) can all be controlled. Significant achievements have been made in both solution polymerization and emulsion polymerization production.
